Category:Non-fiction books about the Holocaust(Photo: Richard Cartwright) In the wake of the recent discovery that Marvel’s Blade Runner 2049 has been intentionally altered to serve the view of the far-right – yes, that same far-right you read about on our website last week – a number of people were keen to remind us of our duty to hold power to account. It’s certainly true that those who hold power in their hands have no place to hide, but what we are not able to do is tell others that they must be as consistent as we are. What you have seen this past week is not a new trend in Hollywood. But it is not the first time that the right has been given a free pass to make these kinds of films, and it will not be the last. This could not be any more true than in our neighbouring nation, Canada. In the days before the election in October, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation ran a story about how a film containing both Canadian and U.S. elements will include a scene depicting a Canadian soldier being executed by American soldiers. The film is called Solsbury, and it’s produced by a right-wing film studio called Lion Forge. If you think that there are only a few weirdoes on the right, it’s time for you to take a look at some of the big names in Hollywood. It’s no coincidence that the inspiration behind the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 was Michael Greene, a man who also designed the film Alien: Covenant. He’s worked on the most recent three James Bond films, and also the World War Z remake. But if you look closely at his work, you’ll see that he’s not just designing monsters and soldiers. He’s also designing posters, and a certain someone who sees the value of doing such work at an election is Matthew McConaughey. You can see his work at his website, and here are a few examples that I want to look at in detail. (Image: Matthew McConaughey) The first one is the picture of the leader of the New Populist Party, an American right-wing movement that was founded by Matthew McConaughey. They claim to be about “economic independence, freedom, unity, and the protection of the Judeo-Christian values upon which this nation was founded.” You can see that
